I started building guitars many years ago and it has been the love of three things which has guaranteed my success:

• the love of  music
• the love of artesian tradition and of course...
• the particular love of one of the most fascinating products I know.  Wood.

I soon realised that the choice of the appropriate woods as well as optimal processing was not that easy. So I devoted myself intensively to the study of this material and its characteristics.

I read a lot of specialised text books on the subject and tried out various techniques. I also took care to maintain regular contact with farmers, forest rangers and other people working in the wood and wood trading industries.  

Looking back, I think I can say, without false modesty, that I am a true expert in this sector.  I cut and stock wood for a large number of instrument builders and I am proud of my loyal, satisfied customers all over the world.

Sometimes people ask me if I prefer working as a producer of tone wood or as a constructor of instruments. To be honest, I can not imagine one without the other.
